Our Certification Course follows Massachusetts advanced esthetics education standards. Approved by the Massachusetts Board of Cosmetology, it delivers the structure and quality seen in top institutes across the country.
Course overview
This State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering–approved Microneedling Certification Course provides licensed professionals with comprehensive training in microneedling (collagen induction therapy). You will learn how to safely and effectively perform microneedling treatments using professional tools and protocols to address a variety of skin concerns.
This course combines theory with supervised hands-on practice, ensuring that you leave confident and prepared to integrate microneedling into your clinical or esthetic practice.
What you’ll learn
- Skin anatomy and physiology
- Microneedling indications and contraindications
- Skin conditions: acne scarring, wrinkles, pigmentation, texture, and tone
- Needle depth guidelines and technique
- Safety and sanitation (including bloodborne pathogen precautions)
- Pre- and post-treatment care
- Selection and use of serums: hyaluronic acid, peptides, and more
- Device operation
- Live model practice under licensed supervision
- Documentation and client consent forms
Certification
Upon completion of the training, students will receive a State Board–approved Certificate of Completion in Microneedling issued by Nova Academy Advanced Training.
